New discoveries

Very excited to have uncovered two sculptures by Sven Berlin we'd never seen before (see below), one a sleeping kingfisher and the other, possibly in wood, a stylish man's head.

A stash of old photos of Sven's carvings included these, mixed up with letters, manuscripts and other ephemera, as well as images of clay maquettes for bronzes, a great image of Sven in the early stages of carving his Large Pieta, and this great image of Sven in his workshop with his bronzes (also below).

As usual Sven's creativity knows no bounds... If you know anything more about the two sculptures be fascinated to hear from you. Happy New Year!
